SCM’s Multiple Channel Communications Processor (MCCP) is a high speed intelligent communications board that supports numerous communication protocols and applications. It is used primarily for applications that require multiple communication ports and/or high communication bandwidth on a PC platform. The MCCP provides communications over RS-232 ASYNC or RS232 SYNC channels. Each MCCP can support up to 16 ASYNC channels. Up to eight MCCP boards can be used in one PC platform, providing as many as 128 communication channels.
On-Board Memory - The MCCP provides 512 Kbytes of on-board memory for data queuing.
Throughput - The MCCP supports baud rates up to 460 Kbaud for each channel, with a total board throughput of up to 14.7 Mbits (5 Mbits for ISA).
Software - The MCCP comes with standard driver s for Windows 2000, XP, and NT. Custom message based APIs can also be provided.
